Django meets Google Code

I recently discovered loads of Django code on Google Code. This tab sweep is meant to lower the memory footprint of Firefox on my laptop while serving as an excellent reference for those seeking prepackaged Django code.

Link Roundup

For today’s browser spring cleaning, I will be offering several sets of links, grouped by topic.

I’m exploring the use of django for my next web project.

And speaking of that next project, I have a large stash of webdev links. And what web2.0 project would be complete without mentioning Amazon’s S3 and EC2?I found this excellent collection of Movable Type plugins recently. I don’t exactly have a use for them as of yet, but they’re too good to lose.Next we have some OS tricks. These are fun. Well, if you’re into that sort of thing. Some x86 virtualization links:Firefox is breathing easier now—and using around 100MB less RAM.

New Year’s Resolution: Clean Showers

Happy New Year! We have taken a bit of a holiday hiatus here, but today we’re back with a brief resolution: clean showers. Nobody in our household enjoys the tiresome process of cleaning showers. And yet we despise the sight and smell of unclean showers. So we’re really excited to be telling you about SCJohnson’s Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner.

We first saw this simple new invention advertised on television months ago. As is the case with most revolutionary new products, we didn’t believe the hype. We were easily swayed by a $5 coupon that appeared in the local newspaper, however, and we gave it a try.

Within two weeksof using this product, our admittedly unclean shower appeared to be actively fighting mildew. All discoloration of the grout was gone — and with no scrubbing! I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this tool. I have bought 4 refills since I first purchased my starter kit. There is simply no easier way to keep your shower clean!
